Action and Outreach Co-ordinator for Liverpool Diocese

thumb_pamkeeganOur aim is to serve our parishes and the wider community through our project work.  Often we can reach out by working individually but sometimes we need to establish a structured project. We now have an up to date file of projects at present operating within our Diocese. We currently offer support in hospitals and hospices, community centres, parent and toddler groups, refuges, shelters for the homeless, residential and nursing homes as well as being involved within our local churches reaching out to baptism and marriage families.

Our projects are also involved in a wide variety of activities around the world. Worldwide grants are available to all Dioceses outside Britain and Ireland to fund MU work and there are three major centrally managed programmes operating;

The Mothers' Union Literacy and Development Programme

The Family Life programme

The Worldwide Parenting Programme.

All these programmes encourage local communities to work together in order to lift people out of poverty and acquire new found skills. Through the Emergency Relief Fund help is placed within communities quickly and where it is most needed via a network of Mothers' Union workers.
