We pray that Mothers’ Union will continue to change family life, to speak up for the marginalized, to campaign at local, national and international levels to ensure family friendly legislation, and for the dignity of human life in all ages. AMEN”

 

Ann Finlay – Faith & Policy Co-ordinator - Liverpool Diocese

I have been a member of Mothers' Union for 18 years and have served as a Branch Leader in two parishes in the diocese. During this period I was Deanery Secretary for Warrington for three years and was then elected as Deanery President from 2003-2009.

In 2006 I became Faith & Policy Co-ordinator and Trustee for the diocese and have just been elected to serve for a further three years.

My role is to liaise and work with the Faith and Policy team which consists of:

• Social Policy Contact - Jeanette Griffiths
• Faith Development Contact
• Diocesan Members Contact - Elaine Wood
• Indoor Members Contact - Wilma James

• Co-ordinate the publication of the Diocesan Wave of Prayer
• Pass on  information to Faith & Policy deanery contacts
• Assist the Diocesan President and Chaplain with prayers and worship on specific occasions such as Cathedral Day, Retreats/Quiet Days and  meetings
• Attend the Annual residential Faith & Policy Conference and report back to the diocese
• Pray for the Unit and its mission work
